STAND

So by now I think most of everyone knows that I love to listen to music. My friend Mark introduced me to a GREAT song. Stand, by John P. Kee. It was crazy that I had never heard this song before. This song is Amazing!! The song is talking about standing firm, even if you are standing alone. It is easy to blend in and to be “People pleaser”, as my Mom would say. She would always tell my twin sister and I to stand up for what is right, and never back down. Since hearing this song, it has been on repeat playing over and over in my headphones. The Lord brought me to few scriptures, 2 Thessalonians 2:15, “So then brothers, stand firm and hold to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.”  And 1 Corinthians 16:13, “Be on your; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong.

Sometimes you will get picked on and made fun of standing up for what is right. Do not let the words of other change your stance. This walk with Christ will not always be easy, in 1 Peter 2:9, it says, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

Know first, that when you stand that you are NEVER alone. God is right there with you. He will never leave you. He Loves You!!

Rejoice and Be Glad!!!

Good Moring/Afternoon, whenever you are reading this. Outside of my house it is rainy, windy, and cold. Normally this would put me in a not so good mood. I am not a fan of cold, especially the rain. Thinking about all of this, the Lord sent me to a simple scripture; Psalm 118:24. “This is a day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” I am also reading, I Declare, by Joel Osteen. I am on day five; he is talking about living everyday like it is your last. Be appreciative for every breath that you take and every smile you see because it could be all gone tomorrow. So do not let the dreary weather get you down. Smile and be glad that God let to see today!!!

Of course there is a song I am singing now. It is Israel Houghton worship Medley Here I Am To Worship. This was one of my favorite songs in Chapel when I was in High School!! This song is a simple song that always warms my heart and makes me smile.

So today make is known that you will rejoice and be glad that you are alive and well today. Thank the Lord for giving you this day!!

Joy Through The Hardship

Good Morning! In 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 it says: But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
I know that I am walking into a new chapter in my life and it will not be easy. I know where I am weak God will be my strength. I will be joyful for hardships, because I know that all it is doing is making me strong for the next level I am on my way to.
SMILE!!!!

Praying for Healing

Good Morning!!! A text message from my close friend woke me up this morning, updating me on her daughter who has been in the hospital since around Christmas. We are praying for her healing and I know that God can heal her. I Peter 2:24 “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” I confess healing over her right now.

I listen to music about 90% of my day. The Song of the day for me is He’s Able by Deitrick Haddon and Voices of Unity. Which took me to Ephesians 3:20 “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,”

Know that God is Able today. No matter what it is He can do it! I know that he can heal my friends little girl. Whatever you are going through in your life right now, know that God is able to fix it.

Pushing Through Brick Walls

The past several months have not been super great for me. I have made major changes in my life and sometimes I feel like my mind is always running and will not waver. My mom gave me a book titled, “Who you are when no one is looking”, by Bill Hybels. In His book he talks about when you are at your quitting point and you feel like that you running into a brick wall, just keep pushing and that brick wall will seem more like a wall made out of tissue paper. If you are feeling like that today, know that you are not alone and just to keep pushing. God loves you and He knows that you are just one the edge of something GREAT!!!

Some songs mean WAY more to me than just the melody, beat, or even who is singing it. My sister and some of closest friends know that I can listen to same song for days and never get tired of hearing it. I just don’t worship in Church. I worship wherever I am at. The song that is repeat right now is “Take Rest in Me”  by Deitrick Haddon and Voices of Unity. Simply put, the lyrics to this song are asking God to take rest in me.

With all that I am going through right now I am brought to this scripture Matthew 11:28-30; 28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Know that God has your back and will NOT EVER let you fall. Know that He loves you and you are His child. You are not alone. No matter how far you feel away from Him. God is right there. There is nothing too big that God can’t fix or rescue you from.
